About Me
My most recent work experience was as a Senior Communications Specialist at the UNT Health Science Center, where I managed internal and external communications for the AIM-AHEAD Consortium, a program that aims to increase diversity and inclusion in health science careers. With over five years of experience in media, digital strategy, and outreach, I have developed a versatile skill set that allows me to write, edit, produce, and distribute engaging and informative content across multiple platforms.
My passion for history, politics, and ethics led me to pursue a BA in Bioethics from the University of Rochester and a MA in History from the University of Texas at Arlington. During my academic journey, I also gained valuable experience in radio broadcasting, interviewing, and sound editing, working at various college and community radio stations. I leveraged these skills to land a web producer role at KTVT, a top-five market TV news station, where I wrote local and national news stories, optimized content for social media, and managed the site’s streaming platform. My notable achievements include breaking the Colleyville synagogue standoff story, transitioning through two rebrands, increasing site traffic by up to 80%, and broadcasting the College World Series for KTCU.
